Mayk Kremer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermann Poß, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermann Poß sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Genkel FSV booed when Höne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudolf Ahnsorge didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ralph Duin came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Höne fans jumped to their feet.
