The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. BC09's Luca Pfister got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jason Nelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Anmerker in the 7th minute of the match. If Egon Schnelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC JOJO's Wladimir Eggeling got a free kick in the 15th minute. Börje Feige showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Pfister, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uwe Anmerker in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jason Nelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, FC JOJO's Jason Nelles threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Uwe Anmerker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute, Uwe Anmerker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When BC09's Luca Pfister in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC JOJO's goalie prevented a goal. Edgar Krech's late challenge caught a FC JOJO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Krech helped the player get up and apologised. Uwe Anmerker was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 37th minute. FC JOJO's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 42 minutes into the match, Luca Pfister had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Börje Feige. FC JOJO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Pfister was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Luca Pfister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

BC09's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Nebel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
