The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Conrad Violka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SSV Markranstädt and the Loope players grew even worse after the yellow card. SSV Markranstädt's Manfred Hässler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Ebert in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Anton Über's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfred Hässler was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Anton Über scored 3-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfred Hässler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Loope had played much better football throughout.
