Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joachim Oberlack took the kick off in the first half of the match. Donny Jüngling struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Berthold Göhring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Gerolstein. 8 minutes into the game, Thilo Orlowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eberhard Meier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eberhard Meier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Oberlack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Gerolstein's Karl-Georg Bartels got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederik Walde struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Berthold Göhring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Brasselsberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Gerolstein the free kick. Markus Henke kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Karl-Georg Bartels fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Berthold Göhring, passed just outside the right post. Thilo Orlowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Eberhard Meier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Karl-Georg Bartels notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brasselsberg's Berthold Göhring. Berthold Göhring was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC Gerolstein's Karl-Georg Bartels got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 45 minutes, Viktor Schneidewind mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gerolstein and the Brasselsberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Viktor Schneidewind hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Frederik Walde made the kick off in the second half. The corner led FC Gerolstein's Gerold Joder to fire away a dangerous shot which Berthold Göhring despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Brasselsberg's Berthold Göhring played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederik Walde in the 58th minute of play. Berthold Göhring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Walde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederik Walde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berthold Göhring having to interfere. But to his dismay, Karl-Georg Bartels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Berthold Göhring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Georg Bartels, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Brasselsberg's Markus Henke got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 80th match minute, Brasselsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burkhard Gail to maneuver through the defense. FC Gerolstein's Frederik Walde got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Karl-Georg Bartels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gerald Wolter fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Gerolstein's protests and gave Gerald Wolter a yellow card for diving instead. FC Gerolstein's Frederik Walde got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederik Walde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, Brasselsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jork Fröhlich to maneuver through the defense. Berthold Göhring came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gerolstein's Karl-Georg Bartels. But to his dismay, Karl-Georg Bartels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Gerolstein had played much better football throughout.
