When Ernst Krickel fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schwarz Weiß Horn's protests and gave Ernst Krickel a yellow card for diving instead. Ernst Krickel hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Harry Röring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simeon Adamek, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Ernst Krickel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Udo Bokan having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernst Krickel in the 12th minute of play forced Brenschede FC's goalkeeper Udo Bokan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Brenschede FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Friedrich. Schwarz Weiß Horn's Faruk Walter got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Zilles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Simeon Adamek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harry Röring. Schwarz Weiß Horn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simeon Adamek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Harry Röring took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernhard Friedrich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Faruk Walter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schwarz Weiß Horn's supporters rose to their feet, but Faruk Walter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Udo Bokan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Schwarz Weiß Horn's Harry Röring proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Schwarz Weiß Horn from getting a goal against them. After having played for 64 minutes, Faruk Walter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schwarz Weiß Horn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faruk Walter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Schwarz Weiß Horn's Harry Röring proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Schwarz Weiß Horn from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Schwarz Weiß Horn's Harry Röring got control of the ball when Mark Zilles tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Schwarz Weiß Horn getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ernst Krickel hit a great ball. Chants of Brenschede FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Schwarz Weiß Horn had held the ball for most of the match.
