Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gerold Zinnbauer kicked off to start the match. Gerold Zinnbauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, FSV STENDAL 23's Manfred Desoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Werner Elsässer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Emilio Unold got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fritz Arnold kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Ulli Rackstein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joachim Jank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Manfred Desoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Werner Elsässer. Rappoltskirchen FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manfred Desoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 30th minute Manfred Desoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Elsässer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rayk Reutter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Joachim Jank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulli Rackstein made a kick off. Rappoltskirchen FSV's Ulli Rackstein got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayk Reutter in the 61st minute of play forced FSV STENDAL 23's goalkeeper Joachim Jank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes FSV STENDAL 23 got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Unold. Joachim Jank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulli Rackstein went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Rayk Reutter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joachim Jank having to interfere. Rayk Reutter scored 3-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joachim Jank, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joachim Jank came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rappoltskirchen FSV's Ulli Rackstein. But to his dismay, Ulli Rackstein quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Desoi got free with Werner Elsässer in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toni Funk's late challenge caught a FSV STENDAL 23's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toni Funk helped the player get up and apologised. Toni Funk hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Gerold Zinnbauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Werner Elsässer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joachim Jank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulli Rackstein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Werner Elsässer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerold Zinnbauer in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the FSV STENDAL 23 defense, Ulli Rackstein kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joachim Jank. The FSV STENDAL 23 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joachim Jank should have stopped the shot. Toni Funk kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Joachim Jank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rayk Reutter, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Rayk Reutter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Jank having to make a save. Rappoltskirchen FSV's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
