The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andi Ebmonts during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Andi Ebmonts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Rayk Reutter got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rayk Reutter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jona Wegmann made a huge save. If Rayk Reutter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rayk Reutter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jona Wegmann having to interfere. Xaver von den Berg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Werner Elsässer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulli Rackstein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulli Rackstein to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Werner Elsässer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xaver von den Berg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Werner Elsässer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Xaver von den Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Stolperhasen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Alfons Oettler hit a great ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
