Reinhard Lamwersiek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Jeschke having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jürg Reuter in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronnie Wirtz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reinhard Lamwersiek might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lou Jeschke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reinhard Lamwersiek ran back to his position shaking his head. Piero Ehinger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronnie Wirtz. Langhögl's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 19 played minutes Langhögl got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Fostiropoulos. Burkhard Wielert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lou Jeschke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balder Steigert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronnie Wirtz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Jürg Reuter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ronnie Wirtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute of the match Kilian Baumann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronnie Wirtz skillfully saved the ball. In the 39th minute, Jürg Reuter fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 40th match minute, Langhögl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Laubner to maneuver through the defense.
