In the 10th match minute, Stallau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh Pleschke to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Stallau's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Bäumler came free, but Holger Grohganz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Riepert in the 15th minute of play forced Stallau's goalkeeper Holger Grohganz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind TSV Waldbach's goalkeeper Lucio Bartel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Holger Grohganz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Riepert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, Stallau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uwe Zamtaradse to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hennes Ohmer got free with Lucio Bartel in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hennes Ohmer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucio Bartel came out and tried to block the shot, but Hennes Ohmer slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. In the 28th match minute, TSV Waldbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Griese to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, TSV Waldbach's goalkeeper Lucio Bartel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Stieglitz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Riepert in the 32nd minute of play forced Stallau's goalkeeper Holger Grohganz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattes Sylvester couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Sass stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Stallau's Christian Sass nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucio Bartel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 54 minutes into the game, Harry Griese was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TSV Waldbach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stallau the free kick. In the 55th minute, Harry Griese hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Stallau booed when TSV Waldbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattes Sylvester didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, TSV Waldbach's Holger Grohganz threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Larry Riepert, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Holger Grohganz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Riepert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nico Stieglitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Hubert Bäumler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Grohganz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
