Neu Oese FC's Dominik Plappert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horst van de Sand in the 6th minute of play. Xaver Metzner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Dominik Plappert made a huge save. Xaver Metzners short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Dominik Plappert to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Xaver Metzner came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Klosterkiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xaver Metzner couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Detlef Lewandowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Neu Oese FC's Dominik Plappert got control of the ball when Xaver Metzner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nils Schollmeyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Schimpf, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 35 played minutes Klosterkiel got a freekick which was hit by Werner Meng. Ronald Kronig was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Xaver Metzner got in the 42nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dominik Plappert handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Neu Oese FC's goalkeeper Dominik Plappert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xaver Metzner. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horst van de Sand to make the kick off. Xaver Metzner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dominik Plappert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Torsten Burke fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neu Oese FC's protests and gave Torsten Burke a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Neu Oese FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Torsten Burke hit a great ball. Xaver Metzner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dominik Plappert having to make a save. Xaver Metzner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Plappert having to interfere. If Siegmund Rüggeberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xaver Metzner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Xaver Metzner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Klosterkiel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xaver Metzner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils Schollmeyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Rexhaus in the 74th minute of the match. Horst van de Sand might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dominik Plappert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horst van de Sand ran back to his position shaking his head. Dominik Plappert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horst van de Sand, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Klosterkiel getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Werner Meng hit a great ball. In the 89th match minute, Klosterkiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siegmund Rüggeberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Horst van de Sand got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Xaver Metzner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Plappert having to interfere. Xaver Metzner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Klosterkiel's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
