Tiergartenbreite FC's players were relieved. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Claus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gary Michalak was slow to take the kick. During this time Tiergartenbreite FC's players had a chance to rest. After 18 played minutes Claus FC got a freekick which was hit by Leif Imkamp. Harold Winkelmeier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernot Tünnissen in the 24th minute of play. Harold Winkelmeier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Klotz's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Endrik Ripsam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephan Dusend showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Lewandowski in the 28th minute of the match. When Aydin Olck fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiergartenbreite FC's protests and gave Aydin Olck a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 30 minutes, Leif Imkamp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Claus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Imkamp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute Leif Imkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Dusend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Teufel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claus FC's Lucas Lewandowski got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Endrik Ripsam charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Endrik Ripsam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Claus FC booed when Tiergartenbreite FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Endrik Ripsam didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a brilliant solo performance by Claus FC's Oliver Freese when he shot the ball into the net to 1-0 in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gernot Tünnissen was the one to do the kick off. The Claus FC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Claus FC's Leif Imkamp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Aydin Olck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rainald Gorgs charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rainald Gorgs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tiergartenbreite FC's Gary Michalak couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Claus FC. Harold Winkelmeier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernot Tünnissen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harold Winkelmeier made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Aydin Olck sent off a good shot on target. If Gernot Tünnissen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stephan Dusend having to interfere. Lucas Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Rainald Gorgs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leif Imkamp succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Harold Winkelmeier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Klotz in the 94th minute. When Leif Imkamp came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Claus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Imkamp couldn't finish the play.
