Oskar Appenzeller's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Peter-Michael Gerig firmly grabbed it by the left post. Peter-Michael Gerig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Liebing, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stefan Liebing succeeded in the game's 95th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Viktoria Köln had won after a very even match.
