Berringhausen FC's Maxi Still proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Berringhausen FC from getting a goal against them. Maxi Still took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Liebing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Liebing in the 35th minute of play forced Berringhausen FC's goalkeeper Maxi Still to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Appenzeller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Maxi Still made a huge save. Fortuna's Oskar Appenzeller got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Stefan Liebing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Liebing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxi Still breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stefan Liebing to strike the kick off in the second half. Oskar Appenzeller might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxi Still. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oskar Appenzeller ran back to his position shaking his head. Stefan Liebing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Maxi Still tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortuna's Oskar Appenzeller got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maxi Still showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Liebing in the 61st minute of the match. Maxi Still showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Appenzeller, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Fortuna's Oskar Appenzeller nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxi Still made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With his leg Frans Pethe managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Berringhausen FC's Lasse Wellnitz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roland Gerolstein kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Paul Rippert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maxi Still skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Liebing in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxi Still prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Oskar Appenzeller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Oskar Appenzeller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxi Still breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Berringhausen FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hartmut Kehren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frans Pethe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fortuna's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
