Frans Pethe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortuna's Frans Pethe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Fortuna from getting a goal against them. Hartwin Blieske took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frans Pethe. Frans Pethe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Hartwin Blieske's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Frans Pethe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 20 minutes into the game, Fortuna's Stefan Liebing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markus Knebel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Ahelle's goal looked a bit too open when Oskar Appenzeller came free, but Markus Knebel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fortuna getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Paul Rippert hit a great ball. Hartwin Blieske recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Sascha Püschl threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ahelle's Max Engel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Frans Pethe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hartwin Blieske went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Fortuna getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Raphael Kühlem hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Pankraz Hermsdorf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Oskar Appenzeller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortuna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oskar Appenzeller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pankraz Hermsdorf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Pethe having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Hartwin Blieske managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ahelle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hartwin Blieske was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Knebel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Liebing, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Markus Knebel made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Oskar Appenzeller sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Fortuna's zone, Hartwin Blieske stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Pethe came out of the goal and Hartwin Blieske tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Pankraz Hermsdorf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hartwin Blieske sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luca Griesbaum kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Ahelle's goalkeeper Markus Knebel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oskar Appenzeller. Frans Pethe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hartwin Blieske, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Fortuna's Gerard Hallerbach slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Markus Knebel. That made the score 2-3 after 79 minutes of play. In the 84th minute, Patrick Jehle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahelle's Markus Knebel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Ahelle from getting a goal against them. Paul Rippert charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Rippert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Fortuna got a freekick which was hit by Paul Rippert. Paul Rippert hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Hartwin Blieske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Pethe having to interfere.
