Maxi Still breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute Emanuel Klöffer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxi Still saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktoria Köln's Pavel Kuttner got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maxi Still made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Klöffer in the 10th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Pavel Kuttner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Viktoria Köln's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berringhausen FC the free kick. Pavel Kuttner kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Viktoria Köln's Peter-Michael Gerig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lasse Wellnitz in the 17th minute of play. Emanuel Klöffer struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Maxi Still didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viktoria Köln. Peter-Michael Gerig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lasse Wellnitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Berringhausen FC booed when Viktoria Köln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Heinzmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lasse Wellnitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berringhausen FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Emanuel Klöffer scored to the left of an out of position Maxi Still, making the score, 2-0. Hartmut Kehren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Peter-Michael Gerig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achim Metzner hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Jan Ahnsorge took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Peter-Michael Gerig. Viktoria Köln's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pavel Kuttner in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
