Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Christen Rehnen started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Vordersteig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joerg-Uwe Caesar to maneuver through the defense. Frank Joachimsmeier struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Daniel Korbel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rennertshofen. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rennertshofen's zone, Matthias Urban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Lausberg came out of the goal and Matthias Urban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the game, Fjodor Dey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Rennertshofen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vordersteig the free kick. Fjodor Dey kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Burger in the 13th minute of play forced Vordersteig's goalkeeper Daniel Korbel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Joachimsmeier struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Daniel Korbel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rennertshofen. When Walther Brocke fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Rennertshofen's protests and gave Walther Brocke a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vordersteig booed when FC Rennertshofen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walther Brocke didn't get a good kick on the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Vordersteig's goalkeeper Daniel Korbel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Joachimsmeier. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rennertshofen's zone, Matthias Urban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After 30 played minutes Vordersteig got a freekick which was hit by Sigi Steinki. The audience was convinced that Hernando Burger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Korbel was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. A collision led to Vordersteig getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Götz Krefft hit a great ball. Matthias Urban might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Lausberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthias Urban ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Christen Rehnen sped through FC Rennertshofen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Federico Lausberg. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernando Burger to make the kick off. Daniel Korbel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernando Burger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernando Burger took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Korbel. Daniel Korbel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of FC Rennertshofen booed when Vordersteig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joerg-Uwe Caesar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Ismail Lösekrug in the 68th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Daniel Korbel's left hand side. Frank Joachimsmeier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 73 minutes, Sigi Steinki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vordersteig and the FC Rennertshofen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute of the match Ismail Lösekrug shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Korbel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Vordersteig's Sigi Steinki got a free kick in the 74th minute. Vordersteig's Daniel Korbel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernando Burger in the 75th minute of play. Hernando Burger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Korbel having to interfere. Christen Rehnen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Lausberg having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, FC Rennertshofen's Frank Joachimsmeier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Korbel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hernando Burger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
