Federico Lausberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niels Hoth in the 3rd minute of the match. If Niels Hoth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, FC Rennertshofen's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Weis came free, but Federico Lausberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Wüsthoff fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Rennertshofen's protests and gave Daniel Wüsthoff a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Süstedt FSV a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kay Wehrheim, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Rennertshofen's Federico Lausberg. 0-1. Hernando Burger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Gogolok having to interfere. Süstedt FSV's Boris Gogolok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernando Burger in the 23rd minute of play. Niels Hoth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Süstedt FSV's Niels Hoth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Federico Lausberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Frank Joachimsmeier could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Boris Gogolok however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Süstedt FSV getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Kevin Sturm hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Hernando Burger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boris Gogolok was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Hernando Burger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Frank Joachimsmeier came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FC Rennertshofen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Joachimsmeier couldn't finish the play. Hernando Burger might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boris Gogolok. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernando Burger ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adrian Weis to make the kick off. Adrian Weis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Lausberg having to interfere. Boris Gogolok showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernando Burger in the 57th minute of the match. In the 62nd match minute, Süstedt FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Sturm to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Ismail Lösekrug sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Süstedt FSV's Boris Gogolok didn't even have to move. In the 70thth minute of the game Hernando Burger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Süstedt FSV's Boris Gogolok was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Boris Gogolok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Joachimsmeier, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th match minute, Süstedt FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kevin Sturm to maneuver through the defense. After 79 played minutes Süstedt FSV got a freekick which was hit by Kay Wehrheim. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernando Burger in the 80th minute of play forced Süstedt FSV's goalkeeper Boris Gogolok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niels Hoth got free with Federico Lausberg in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Joachim Buchen fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Rennertshofen's protests and gave Joachim Buchen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, one of FC Rennertshofen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Rennertshofen. After 95 minutes of play FC Rennertshofen's Joachim Buchen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Rennertshofen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The Süstedt FSV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Süstedt FSV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
