After some careless play in the Seeverns defense, Winfried Kochert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrico Kornmann. The Seeverns fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrico Kornmann should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute Winfried Kochert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Kornmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Claus Nikoleit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Enrico Kornmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Winfried Kochert in the 95th minute of play. Michail Ernstberger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eckhardt Groth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seeverns's Sascha de Kok got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
