Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ruprecht Döbele started the match with the kick off. 1-0 became the score in the 4th minute when Bernard Hirz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Dresden FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Heinrich Körper came free, but Gerrit Schnehage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Sven Gallasch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dresden FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Gallasch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ruprecht Döbele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heinrich Körper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Schnehage having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Melvin Reck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 31st minute, one of Dresden FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dresden FSV. Ruprecht Döbele sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gerrit Schnehage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinrich Körper in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Frankreich's goalkeeper Melvin Reck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frankreich's Melvin Reck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Frankreich from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven Gallasch to make the kick off. Ruprecht Döbele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gerrit Schnehage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dresden FSV's Gerrit Schnehage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Grammelspacher in the 54th minute of play. Frankreich's Ruprecht Döbele was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Gerrit Schnehage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heinrich Körper in the 70th minute of play. If Ruprecht Döbele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gerrit Schnehage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruprecht Döbele in the 71st minute. If Ruprecht Döbele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Frankreich booed when Dresden FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Hirz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerrit Schnehage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruprecht Döbele in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to Dresden FSV getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Johannes Bettinger hit a great ball. Heinrich Körper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Schnehage having to interfere. Heinrich Körper came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gerrit Schnehage could save by the left post. In the 90th match minute, Dresden FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Gallasch to maneuver through the defense. Frankreich's Ruprecht Döbele was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 91st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Ruprecht Döbele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankreich played a much better game than Dresden FSV and deserved their victory. The Dresden FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
