Ulf Werlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Böhmer having to interfere. The supporters of Moin Mitnanne booed when Spall FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter-Stefan Grefen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes of play, Moin Mitnanne's Dario Ünlü made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rutger Renz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Spall FSV's Ulf Werlich in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Moin Mitnanne's goalie prevented a goal. Ulrich Blaumann scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rutger Renz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 23 played minutes Moin Mitnanne got a freekick which was hit by Ditmar Bossecker. Spall FSV's Ulf Werlich got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Tiedemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Spike Böhmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Ditmar Bossecker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Swen Letsche hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maiko Gruber got free with Spike Böhmer in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rutger Renz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dario Ünlü went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Moin Mitnanne were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ulf Werlich made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Moin Mitnanne's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gordon Kühn was slow to take the kick. During this time Spall FSV's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gordon Kühn almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Moin Mitnanne's Spike Böhmer did a great save. Ulrich Blaumann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Rutger Renz made a huge save. Rutger Renz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dario Ünlü's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Ulf Werlich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Spike Böhmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Moin Mitnanne's Dario Ünlü sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rutger Renz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Spall FSV's zone, Ulrich Blaumann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rutger Renz came out of the goal and Ulrich Blaumann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rutger Renz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Ünlü in the 80th minute of play. If Ulrich Blaumann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dario Ünlü fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rutger Renz having to interfere. Ulrich Blaumann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rutger Renz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rutger Renz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulrich Blaumann in the 87th minute. Spike Böhmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Tiedemann in the 91st minute of play. The Moin Mitnanne supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Moin Mitnanne would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
