Match Report

Sainerholz
Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0)
The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mads Stecher made the kick off which started today's match. Hubert Schaaf's late challenge caught a Weißenstein FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hubert Schaaf helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Weißenstein FSV booed when Sainerholz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hubert Schaaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mads Stecher in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max Reese saved Sainerholz from getting behind. In the 8th minute Mads Stecher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Reese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcus Püschl came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Weißenstein FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Püschl couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Weißenstein FSV's zone, Jörg Vollmaris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sascha Andre Baumert came out of the goal and Jörg Vollmaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marcus Püschl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, Sainerholz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Jürgens to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Jörg Vollmaris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sascha Andre Baumert was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Max Reese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Püschl in the 30th minute of the match. If Marcus Püschl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Karel Sutter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jörg Vollmaris made a kick off. When Walter Wirth fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sainerholz's protests and gave Walter Wirth a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Sainerholz got a freekick which was hit by Walter Wirth. Jörg Vollmaris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sascha Andre Baumert having to interfere. Weißenstein FSV's Mads Stecher was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sainerholz's Max Reese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Sainerholz from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Weißenstein FSV getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Erk Aderhold hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Weißenstein FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Schmidt came free, but Sascha Andre Baumert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mads Stecher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Weißenstein FSV booed when Sainerholz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute of the match, Mads Stecher tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Max Reese saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Sainerholz's Tibor Lamp got a free kick in the 70th minute. Marcus Püschl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Max Reese having to make a save. Mads Stecher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Max Reese having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Mads Stecher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Reese was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Sainerholz's Max Reese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Sainerholz from getting a goal against them. In the 94th match minute, Weißenstein FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Sutter to maneuver through the defense. Weißenstein FSV played a much better game than Sainerholz and deserved their victory. The Sainerholz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
