But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Püschl couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Weißenstein FSV's zone, Jörg Vollmaris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sascha Andre Baumert came out of the goal and Jörg Vollmaris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sainerholz's Max Reese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Sainerholz from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Weißenstein FSV getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Erk Aderhold hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Weißenstein FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Schmidt came free, but Sascha Andre Baumert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
