Viktor Höger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Segmüller in the 24th minute of play. Alfons Lücker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raiko Braunheim in the 25th minute. Vladimir Ansieg had several of the SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Alfons Lücker as he didn't even see the shot coming. When SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Gustav Segmüller in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Raiko Braunheim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfons Lücker firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 45th minute, Ettore Gemke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Viktor Höger didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1.
