Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tim Pickhardt took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tord Balla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Schreiber having to interfere. Schadewohl FC's Kurt Klösters got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Holger Bendel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bernd Schreiber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Bendel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Schreiber having to interfere. Tord Balla might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernd Schreiber. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tord Balla ran back to his position shaking his head. Holger Bendel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Schreiber having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Bendel in the 20th minute of play forced Schadewohl FC's goalkeeper Bernd Schreiber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th match minute, Schadewohl FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Kolbe to maneuver through the defense. Bernd Schreiber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tord Balla in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Esparion were awarded a corner. Klaus Wissel went to the cornerflag to take it. 33 minutes into the game, Pierre-André Scharnhorst was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schadewohl FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esparion the free kick. A collision led to Schadewohl FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Pierre-André Scharnhorst hit a great ball. Klaus Wissel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Esparion's Holger Bendel got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tord Balla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tord Balla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kurt Klösters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Björn Gleixner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Holger Bendel to make the kick off. Björn Gleixner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Klösters in the 53rd minute of the match. Schadewohl FC's Bernd Schreiber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Bendel in the 57th minute of play. If Holger Bendel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tord Balla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Schadewohl FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Holger Bendel scored to the left of an out of position Bernd Schreiber, making the score, 0-1. After some careless play in the Schadewohl FC defense, Holger Bendel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernd Schreiber. The Schadewohl FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernd Schreiber should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute, Tord Balla made a precise shot to the right of Bernd Schreiber. Schadewohl FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 83rd play minutes Holger Bendel shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Bernd Schreiber and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Esparion getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Amatus Poll hit a great ball. If Tord Balla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Schadewohl FC booed when Esparion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walther Buschmeyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre-André Scharnhorst kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Tord Balla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Holger Bendel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernd Schreiber, 0-5. Esparion played a much better game than Schadewohl FC and deserved their victory. The Schadewohl FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
