Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Holger Bendel made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Bendel in the 3rd minute of play forced SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s goalkeeper Alfons Lücker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tord Balla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Alfons Lücker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esparion's Björn Gleixner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludo Höfgen in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match Herwig Kuchel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfons Lücker skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Alfons Lücker got control of the ball when Tord Balla tried to sneak it across the goal line. When SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Gustav Segmüller in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esparion's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Esparion's Holger Bendel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfons Lücker. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. In the 24th minute of the match, Tord Balla got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfons Lücker was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A hard shot 26 in the game by Tord Balla from a close distance when the talented Alfons Lücker managed to make a qualified save. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s players were relieved. Tord Balla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfons Lücker having to interfere. Alfons Lücker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Bendel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Holger Bendel came free, but Alfons Lücker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfons Lücker came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Esparion's Holger Bendel. But to his dismay, Holger Bendel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 45th minute of the match Kuno Metzler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfons Lücker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 48 minutes into the match, Holger Bendel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfons Lücker, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gustav Segmüller to make the kick off. If Tord Balla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esparion's Holger Bendel got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfons Lücker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Holger Bendel's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 64thth minute of the game Tord Balla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s Alfons Lücker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ettore Gemke hit a great ball. Tord Balla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tord Balla in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfons Lücker saved SV 09 Staßfurt e.V. from getting behind. Alfons Lücker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Bendel in the 72nd minute of the match. When Esparion's Holger Bendel in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the match, SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Walther Buschmeyer came free, but Alfons Lücker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfons Lücker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Bendel in the 85th minute of the match. After 86 minutes, Gustav Segmüller made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Esparion's Björn Gleixner tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Esparion getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tord Balla hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Esparion's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Segmüller came free, but Björn Gleixner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustav Segmüller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Björn Gleixner was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. In the 98th minute Holger Bendel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Lücker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
