Daniel Schöner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horst Starke's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Aidenried's goal looked a bit too open when Horst Starke came free, but Daniel Schöner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Nettesheim booed when Aidenried was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Schug didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Schöner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen Minschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Nicolai Schrempp could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Richart Rübin however easily saved by the left post. Richart Rübin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörg Kastner, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Henrik Schug was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aidenried's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nettesheim the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Aidenried was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Schug to maneuver through the defense. Steffen Minschke struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Daniel Schöner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nettesheim. Henrik Schug got his second yellow card in the match during the 22nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 22nd minute, Henrik Schug hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute of the match Raffael Ullmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Schöner showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Steffen Minschke notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Aidenried's Daniel Schöner. Daniel Schöner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Richart Rübin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolai Schrempp went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Aidenried's Marcel Schmitt got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute, Steffen Minschke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Aidenried's Mirko Nowotny got a free kick in the 39th minute. Daniel Schöner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Minschke in the 40th minute of the match. Steffen Minschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Schöner having to interfere. After 47 played minutes, Nettesheim's Efraim Kuppinger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Daniel Schöner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nettesheim reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steffen Minschke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Horst Starke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horst Starke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Aidenried's zone, Steffen Minschke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Schöner came out of the goal and Steffen Minschke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horst Starke's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Daniel Schöner skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Daniel Schöner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Steffen Minschke showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 68 minute of play. In the 78th minute Steffen Minschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Schöner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nettesheim's Richart Rübin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolai Schrempp in the 79th minute of play. When Conni Krankenbroker fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nettesheim's protests and gave Conni Krankenbroker a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 minutes, Nicolai Schrempp made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Nettesheim's Richart Rübin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nicolai Schrempp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horst Starke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Steffen Minschke came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Nettesheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Minschke couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horst Starke got free with Daniel Schöner in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute Steffen Minschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Schöner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Aidenried defense, Horst Starke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Schöner. The Aidenried fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Schöner should have stopped the shot. The Nettesheim players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
