In the 45th minute, Steve Spethmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casimir Krughöfer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jörn Diefenbach came out and tried to block the shot, but Casimir Krughöfer slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd match minute, Gemmerich FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volker Schwenke to maneuver through the defense. Volker Schwenke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörn Diefenbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimir Krughöfer, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Merkel in the 59th minute of play forced Sankt Claas's goalkeeper Jörn Diefenbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Martin Heffungs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gemmerich FSV's Casimir Krughöfer got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jörn Diefenbach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimir Krughöfer in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Sankt Claas's Domenico Rick dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. After 70 minutes, Caspar Gebhard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sankt Claas and the Gemmerich FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Caspar Gebhard hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes Sankt Claas got a freekick which was hit by Steve Spethmann. After a defensive mix-up in Sankt Claas's zone, Casimir Krughöfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Diefenbach came out of the goal and Casimir Krughöfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tsuneo Allmann struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Jörn Diefenbach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gemmerich FSV. If Volker Schwenke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Martin Heffungs came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gemmerich FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Heffungs couldn't finish the play. Jörn Diefenbach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimir Krughöfer in the 90th minute of the match. Jörn Diefenbach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Heffungs in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Martin Heffungs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Jörn Diefenbach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
