After 11 minutes of play, SV Wehen Wiesbaden's Leif Volz made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lothar Scharpe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st match minute, SV Wehen Wiesbaden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Detmar Wirtz to maneuver through the defense. Aufurth FC's Markus Hanke got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximus Hogen kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match Henry Kienast shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nico Brübach showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Aufurth FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Erik Genz hit a great ball. Sandro Gaede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 played minutes SV Wehen Wiesbaden got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Goldmann. With a little luck, SV Wehen Wiesbaden's Nico Brübach got control of the ball when Edbert Darmstadt tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Edbert Darmstadt came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Aufurth FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edbert Darmstadt couldn't finish the play. Lothar Scharpe came out of the goal and Leif Volz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leif Volz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Nico Brübach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Hanke, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Sandro Gaede scored 5-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lothar Scharpe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandro Gaede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lothar Scharpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markus Hanke in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico Brübach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aufurth FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SV Wehen Wiesbaden.
