If Michael Bendel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nacken's zone, Willi Deckers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Blauwink came out of the goal and Willi Deckers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Nacken's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Bendel came free, but Oliver Blauwink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacken's Mark Thieße got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18thth minute of the game Michael Bendel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nacken's Oliver Blauwink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Curt Roemer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilhelm Gräber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Bertsch's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Oliver Blauwink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Bendel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gregor Holler fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nacken's protests and gave Gregor Holler a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Nacken got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Holler. When Oferdingen's Michael Bendel in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nacken's goalie prevented a goal. Nacken's Oliver Blauwink proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Nacken from getting a goal against them. In the 40th match minute, Nacken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Günter Riestenpatt to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Blauwink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Bendel in the 46th minute of play. Michael Bendel struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Oliver Blauwink didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oferdingen.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andreas Bertsch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Oferdingen booed when Nacken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Bertsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Michael Bendel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 played minutes Nacken got a freekick which was hit by Bolko Hinz. Nacken's Mark Thieße got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andreas Bertsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilhelm Gräber having to interfere. When Carl Schröder fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oferdingen's protests and gave Carl Schröder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Carl Schröder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nacken's goalkeeper Oliver Blauwink, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michael Bendel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Oferdingen supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nacken's performance. The match ended with a win for Nacken.
