The audience was convinced that Lothar Oberbeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beat Runde was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Jochen Sylvesters short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Frank Raiser to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Real Madrid CF booed when Lüdespert FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roswin Königshofen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17th play minutes Lothar Oberbeck shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Beat Runde and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 23rd minute, Florian Ressemann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Jochen Sylvester could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Frank Raiser however easily saved by the left post. After 31 played minutes Lüdespert FC got a freekick which was hit by Tim Liebens. Tim Liebens's late challenge caught a Real Madrid CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tim Liebens helped the player get up and apologised. After 32 played minutes Lüdespert FC got a freekick which was hit by Tim Liebens. 36 minutes into the game, Real Madrid CF's Egmont Klich nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beat Runde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Ralph Siebert came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Real Madrid CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralph Siebert couldn't finish the play. Real Madrid CF made a substitution. Lion Nawrath replaced Othmar Göller. A collision led to Lüdespert FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jochen Sylvester hit a great ball. Egmont Klich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heribert Rauh was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Lüdespert FC's Ernst Lauer got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Lüdespert FC's Beat Runde got control of the ball when Florian Ressemann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Marc-Dominic Rolker fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Beat Runde, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 58 minutes, Lothar Oberbeck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lothar Oberbeck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Madrid CF's Florian Ressemann got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marc-Dominic Rolker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Lüdespert FC's Tim Liebens got a free kick in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lothar Oberbeck in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beat Runde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Raiser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heribert Rauh in the 72nd minute of play. Jochen Sylvester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Raiser having to interfere. Florian Ressemann took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beat Runde. Beat Runde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Frank Raiser showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Lauer in the 80th minute of the match. If Marc-Dominic Rolker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Liebens kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Marc-Dominic Rolker succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Real Madrid CF's Frank Raiser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heribert Rauh in the 88th minute of play. Beat Runde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lothar Oberbeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Lüdespert FC's zone, Marc-Dominic Rolker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beat Runde came out of the goal and Marc-Dominic Rolker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egmont Klich got free with Beat Runde in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid CF's Florian Ressemann got a free kick in the 94th minute. Frank Raiser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heribert Rauh in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute Florian Ressemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beat Runde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Real Madrid CF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lüdespert FC throughout the match.
