The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hanno Giurgin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hank Kartz having to interfere. In the 5thth minute of the game Hanno Giurgin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moorland FC's Hank Kartz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hanno Giurgin struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Hank Kartz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giebelscheid FC. If Hanno Giurgin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hank Kartz made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Gabriel Eckert sent off a good shot on target. If Gabriel Eckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hanno Giurgin got free with Hank Kartz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moorland FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Bastian Peeger scored to the left of an out of position Hank Kartz, making the score, 1-0. Giebelscheid FC's Hartmut Imhof got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Pekko Demuth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thorsten Motter scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fridun Becker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moorland FC's Thorsten Motter got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hartmut Imhof hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Aydin Gebert's late challenge caught a Giebelscheid FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aydin Gebert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Moorland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aydin Gebert to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Gabriel Eckert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giebelscheid FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Eckert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Bastian Peeger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moorland FC's Hank Kartz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Daniel Boymanns threw the ball into play from the sideline. Giebelscheid FC's Hartmut Imhof quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 46 minutes into the match, Moorland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bastian Peeger came free, but Hank Kartz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience was convinced that Gabriel Eckert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hank Kartz was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. A collision led to Moorland FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Pekko Demuth hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Bastian Peeger made a precise shot to the right of Hank Kartz. Moorland FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Eckert in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hank Kartz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hank Kartz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hanno Giurgin's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the game, Giebelscheid FC's Gabriel Eckert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hank Kartz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When Giebelscheid FC's Gabriel Eckert in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hank Kartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Eckert in the 75th minute of the match. Hartmut Imhof struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Hank Kartz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giebelscheid FC. When Klaus Betz came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Moorland FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaus Betz couldn't finish the play. Hank Kartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hartmut Imhof in the 88th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Hartmut Imhof managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giebelscheid FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hartmut Imhof was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hank Kartz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Giebelscheid FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
