In the 18th minute, Mario Barow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes, Markus Jacob mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oben Altendorf and the 1.FC Union Berlin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oben Altendorf fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Helmut Felgenhauer had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Stefano Frieden's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Philipp Adler lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, 1.FC Union Berlin's Philipp Adler got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Markus Jacob sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benjamin Fischer skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Zaman Tegtmeyer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oben Altendorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaman Tegtmeyer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Fischer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helmut Felgenhauer made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Mischa Simpson sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mischa Simpson to strike the kick off in the second half. Dittmar Strich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oben Altendorf's goalkeeper Helmut Felgenhauer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Oben Altendorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Sauerland to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Mischa Simpson managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1.FC Union Berlin's supporters rose to their feet, but Mischa Simpson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Barow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mischa Simpson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Helmut Felgenhauer having to make a save. In the 85th match minute, 1.FC Union Berlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Locherer to maneuver through the defense.
