Ali Murat Bilharz started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, 1.FC Union Berlin's goalkeeper Benjamin Fischer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peer Gennburg. 5 minutes into the match, Peer Gennburg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Fischer. 1.FC Union Berlin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peer Gennburg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Peer Gennburg took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Fischer. Benjamin Fischer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Mischa Simpson came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the 1.FC Union Berlin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mischa Simpson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Kleie booed when 1.FC Union Berlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mischa Simpson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ali Murat Bilharz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Fischer having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Jules Rauscher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1.FC Union Berlin and the Kleie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jules Rauscher kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a long run with the ball, Domian Binder did a trick in the 28th minute in front of 1.FC Union Berlin's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 3-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jürgen Wienecke to make the kick off. Gottlieb Wohlfart kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Jürgen Wienecke took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Olaf Kauf to make any attempt to save it. Ergün Erler hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Alexander Ortel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. Peer Gennburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Fischer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Murat Bilharz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Peer Gennburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peer Gennburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dittmar Strich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Ali Murat Bilharz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kleie's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Murat Bilharz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Fischer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kleie's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
