The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peter Sauerland's late challenge caught a Hörsten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Sauerland helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hörsten booed when Oben Altendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Sauerland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Gillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Barow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hörsten's Gerald Ringelnatz got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Gerald Ringelnatz put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Helmut Felgenhauer. Zaman Tegtmeyer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Mario Barow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Gaston Dieckmann notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Oben Altendorf's Helmut Felgenhauer. Helmut Felgenhauer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaston Dieckmann got free with Helmut Felgenhauer in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ingo Bialke fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oben Altendorf's protests and gave Ingo Bialke a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Oben Altendorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingo Bialke to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Oben Altendorf's goalkeeper Helmut Felgenhauer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Dieckmann. Gaston Dieckmann in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Helmut Felgenhauer, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Peter Sauerland got his second yellow card in the match during the 44th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Hörsten booed when Oben Altendorf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Sauerland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Dieckmann had several of the Oben Altendorf's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 48 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Helmut Felgenhauer as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Gerald Ringelnatz made the kick off in the second half. Gaston Dieckmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Oben Altendorf getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Sascha Münnecke hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathieu Finnern in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Helmut Felgenhauer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gerald Ringelnatz scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Helmut Felgenhauer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Hörsten's goalkeeper Michael Gillen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaman Tegtmeyer. Helmut Felgenhauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerald Ringelnatz in the 65th minute of the match. Hörsten's Gaston Dieckmann got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaston Dieckmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Gerald Ringelnatz made a precise shot to the right of Helmut Felgenhauer. Oben Altendorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Gerald Ringelnatz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Mathieu Finnern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hörsten's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathieu Finnern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helmut Felgenhauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gaston Dieckmann came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Hörsten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Dieckmann couldn't finish the play. Jason Freund kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Gaston Dieckmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Helmut Felgenhauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Hörsten's Gaston Dieckmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Helmut Felgenhauer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Gaston Dieckmann took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Helmut Felgenhauer. Helmut Felgenhauer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Hörsten's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
