The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andi Webermann struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Per Osthoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aspe FSV. Per Osthoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andi Webermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of Aspe FSV booed when Burscheid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Mühlstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Aspe FSV's Andi Webermann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Marco Mühlstein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Schick was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Per Osthoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andi Webermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 31 minutes, Andi Webermann made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Burscheid's Per Osthoff tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Marco Mühlstein notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Aspe FSV's Jonas Schick. Jonas Schick was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 43 in the game by Andi Webermann from a close distance when the talented Per Osthoff managed to make a qualified save. Burscheid's players were relieved.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miroslav Demmel to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Burscheid booed when Aspe FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hemmo Woldag didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Andi Webermann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per Osthoff was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. 72 minutes into the match, Burscheid's Miroslav Demmel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Schick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miroslav Demmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Schick having to interfere. With a little luck, Aspe FSV's Jonas Schick got control of the ball when Remo Klauß tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Burscheid walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
