Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Miroslav Demmel got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Burscheid's Miroslav Demmel got a free kick in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Rothenbach's zone, Miroslav Demmel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ödön Kaehlitz came out of the goal and Miroslav Demmel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Burscheid getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Shingo Rieger hit a great ball. Pepe Irmisch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Per Osthoff when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Stefan Wennemer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per Osthoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 25th minute Miroslav Demmel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ödön Kaehlitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miroslav Demmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Remo Klauß sped through Rothenbach's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ödön Kaehlitz. A collision led to Rothenbach getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Emil Braner hit a great ball. Ödön Kaehlitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Klauß, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Rothenbach's Zaman Joithe got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Demmel in the 34th minute of play forced Rothenbach's goalkeeper Ödön Kaehlitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Klauß sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Remo Klauß got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Rothenbach getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Uwe Arnold hit a great ball. Remo Klauß fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ödön Kaehlitz having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ödön Kaehlitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslav Demmel's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Miroslav Demmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Klauß's late challenge caught a Rothenbach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Klauß helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Burscheid getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nuran Demitter hit a great ball. Uwe Arnold got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Burscheid booed when Rothenbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uwe Arnold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Klauß struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ödön Kaehlitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burscheid. Remo Klauß sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th match minute, Rothenbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Wennemer to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes Burscheid got a freekick which was hit by Helge Tilmann. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remo Klauß got free with Ödön Kaehlitz in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92ndth minute of the game Miroslav Demmel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rothenbach's Ödön Kaehlitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rothenbach's Ödön Kaehlitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Rothenbach from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Burscheid eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
