Berkersheim FC's Herbie Klause was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Berkersheim FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Marko Molling hit a great ball. Carsten Stocker charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carsten Stocker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Dennis Schulten fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Handarpe's protests and gave Dennis Schulten a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Handarpe fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! If Herbie Klause had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute Herbie Klause shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Kunzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arne Grützmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Philipp Wolfsbach came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Berkersheim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philipp Wolfsbach couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arne Grützmann to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Berkersheim FC's goalkeeper Nico Biermann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dieter Lachmann. Niclas Kunzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbie Klause in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Herbie Klause managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berkersheim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbie Klause was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philipp Wolfsbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niclas Kunzi having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Christian Post shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Kunzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arne Grützmann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nico Biermann came out and tried to block the shot, but Arne Grützmann slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Handarpe's zone, Philipp Wolfsbach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niclas Kunzi came out of the goal and Philipp Wolfsbach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philipp Wolfsbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Niclas Kunzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbie Klause in the 94th minute of play forced Handarpe's goalkeeper Niclas Kunzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berkersheim FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
