Jens Kolberg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Sven Schwarzelühr sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven Eckert skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Hippo Bucher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maschhaupt FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hippo Bucher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Eckert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hippo Bucher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mario Brockschmidt came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Maschhaupt FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Brockschmidt couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Salzwoog FSV's goalkeeper Sven Eckert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hippo Bucher. In the 29th minute, Björn Kunert made a precise shot to the right of Sven Eckert. Salzwoog FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Hippo Bucher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sven Eckert made a huge save. When Hippo Bucher came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Maschhaupt FC fans jumped to their feet. Jens Kolberg charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jens Kolberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Maschhaupt FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
