In the 10th match minute, Probstheida FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Vaerst to maneuver through the defense. Arne Vaerst was shown his second yellow card after 13 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 13 played minutes Probstheida FSV got a freekick which was hit by Arne Vaerst. Philip Weiler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakob Caesar's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 16th match minute, Probstheida FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Wesseling to maneuver through the defense. Philip Weiler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakob Caesar, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Philip Weiler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Caesar in the 18th minute of play. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Lars Reif sped through Probstheida FSV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Philip Weiler. Lukas Dörnte hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Lars Reif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Philip Weiler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Probstheida FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Jakob Caesar came free, but Philip Weiler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jakob Caesar came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FC Appeldorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jakob Caesar couldn't finish the play. Philip Weiler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakob Caesar in the 32nd minute of the match. Hans-Georg Möhrle might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nino Kozole. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans-Georg Möhrle ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Philip Weiler managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when FC Appeldorf's Lars Reif fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Jakob Caesar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Weiler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lars Reif in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Jakob Caesar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Weiler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Caesar in the 45th minute of play forced Probstheida FSV's goalkeeper Philip Weiler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakob Caesar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Weiler having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hans-Georg Möhrle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lars Reif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Lars Reif notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Probstheida FSV's Philip Weiler. Philip Weiler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Hans-Georg Möhrle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roland-Nicolas Held received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Nino Kozole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Caesar in the 75th minute of play forced Probstheida FSV's goalkeeper Philip Weiler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakob Caesar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd minute Lars Reif shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Weiler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Caesar scored 3-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Philip Weiler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hans-Georg Möhrles short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Nino Kozole to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jakob Caesar took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Weiler. Philip Weiler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lars Reif in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Weiler saved Probstheida FSV from getting behind. Lars Reif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Weiler having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Appeldorf fans cheered their team off the field, for while Probstheida FSV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
