In the 8th minute Josef Westermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslav Branghofer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, JenMar RS's Harald Terstege got a free kick in the 9th minute. Miroslav Branghofer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Westermann in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind JenMar RS's goalkeeper Miroslav Branghofer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Harald Terstege fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JenMar RS's protests and gave Harald Terstege a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, JenMar RS's Harald Terstege got a free kick in the 14th minute. Adam Mieß stood somewhat misplaced when Kai Carlebach came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 19 minute. After some careless play in the JenMar RS defense, Josef Röwe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miroslav Branghofer. The JenMar RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miroslav Branghofer should have stopped the shot. Bernhard Donnerbauer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kai Carlebach came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the JenMar RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai Carlebach couldn't finish the play. Kai Carlebach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Mieß having to interfere. 37 minutes in the game, Kai Carlebach fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adam Mieß having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Preußen Münster's zone, Bernhard Donnerbauer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Mieß came out of the goal and Bernhard Donnerbauer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the match, FC Preußen Münster's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Carlebach came free, but Adam Mieß reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kai Carlebach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Mieß having to interfere. FC Preußen Münster's Adam Mieß proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save FC Preußen Münster from getting a goal against them. Bernhard Donnerbauer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half FC Preußen Münster were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Josef Westermann was the one to do the kick off. JenMar RS's Bernhard Donnerbauer got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, FC Preußen Münster's Elmar Kahsner seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elmar Kahsner the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Preußen Münster protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elmar Kahsner had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of FC Preußen Münster:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of JenMar RS:s goal. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for JenMar RS. Götz Lips stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adam Mieß. 2-2. In the 67th minute of the match JenMar RS got a corner. FC Preußen Münster's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Götz Lips ran over to the corner to take the kick. Adam Mieß showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernhard Donnerbauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Josef Röwe struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Miroslav Branghofer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Preußen Münster. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Josef Röwe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Preußen Münster's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Röwe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslav Branghofer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josef Röwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, JenMar RS's Kai Carlebach sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Mieß narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Boris Kozok hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 102nd minute there was a penalty for JenMar RS. Götz Lips stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adam Mieß. 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The JenMar RS fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Preußen Münster had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
