In the 6th minute, Valentin Heinrichs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in LTSC Wasserbillig's zone, Özcan Ahrendt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herrmann Kanoneks came out of the goal and Özcan Ahrendt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, LTSC Wasserbillig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ellis Kuhlins to maneuver through the defense. Joscha Heiermann struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Herrmann Kanoneks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ratisbona. In the 21st minute, Valentin Heinrichs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Stephan Seibert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian van Hinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian van Hinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Seibert, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Joscha Heiermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herrmann Kanoneks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Ratisbona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gunther Meyer in the 30th minute. Gunther Meyer made a great header on FC Ratisbona's corner, it was just that LTSC Wasserbillig's Herrmann Kanoneks managed to reach the ball for a save. When Manfred Bühler came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the LTSC Wasserbillig fans jumped to their feet. After some careless play in the LTSC Wasserbillig defense, Joscha Heiermann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herrmann Kanoneks. The LTSC Wasserbillig fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herrmann Kanoneks should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Joscha Heiermann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herrmann Kanoneks was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the game, FC Ratisbona's Hartwig Koch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herrmann Kanoneks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Özcan Ahrendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. LTSC Wasserbillig's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joscha Heiermann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Ratisbona had played much better football throughout.
