After 16 minutes, Klaus Mees mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Langereihe FC and the Gut Muthagen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gut Muthagen FC booed when Langereihe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaus Mees didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Pape in the 22nd minute of play forced Gut Muthagen FC's goalkeeper Dominik Schulze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Franz Pape had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gut Muthagen FC's Felix Dreßler got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Balko Murschel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Dominik Schulze made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Gut Muthagen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franz Pape came free, but Dominik Schulze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Balko Murschel came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Langereihe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Balko Murschel couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Kai Boris Gaber ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klaus Fydrich was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With his leg Dominik Schulze managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Langereihe FC's Balko Murschel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kai Boris Gaber was the one to do the kick off. Felix Dreßler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Klaus Fydrich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Balko Murschel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dominik Schulze having to make a save. Franz Pape received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dominik Schulze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balko Murschel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the match, Langereihe FC's goalkeeper Klaus Fydrich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Dreßler. After 67 minutes of play, Langereihe FC's Franz Pape made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dominik Schulze was left in no man's land by his defense there! Balko Murschel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franz Pape scored 2-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dominik Schulze, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Felix Dreßler notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Langereihe FC's Klaus Fydrich. Klaus Fydrich was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Balko Murschel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Schulze having to interfere. Balko Murschel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dominik Schulze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Franz Pape got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
