Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Perry Kaas started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Rübke getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Holger Gowinkowsky hit a great ball. Ameling FSV's Oscar Thurow couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rübke. Georg Bodendiek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perry Kaas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Martin having to interfere. A collision led to Rübke getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Dustin Kehl hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Oscar Thurow sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom Martin skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute, Ruben Bastian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Perry Kaas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ameling FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perry Kaas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philipp Pfaff struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Jupp Schneider didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rübke. Jupp Schneider made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philipp Pfaff in the 25th minute. Philipp Pfaff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jupp Schneider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tom Martin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Kaas in the 40th minute of the match. Georg Bodendiek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Martin having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play, Ameling FSV's Georg Bodendiek made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tom Martin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Drechsler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ameling FSV getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Karim Schreyer hit a great ball. When Ameling FSV's Perry Kaas in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rübke's goalie prevented a goal. Jupp Schneider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Drechsler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Perry Kaas came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ameling FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Perry Kaas couldn't finish the play. Georg Bodendiek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tom Martin made a huge save. If Perry Kaas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Ameling FSV supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ameling FSV would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
