Heinz Kügler hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jörg Wehrheim in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danko Keil saved Luneplate from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jörg Wehrheim in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danko Keil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Heinz Kügler's late challenge caught a Haßbergen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heinz Kügler helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Luneplate getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Heinz Kügler hit a great ball. Rouven Jochum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Bernau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Richard Bernau got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jörg Wehrheim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Danko Keil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emanuel Schramm fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luneplate's protests and gave Emanuel Schramm a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Luneplate getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Emanuel Schramm hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Haßbergen FSV's goalkeeper Rouven Jochum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Lendemans. Joachim Lendemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Bernau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Ralf-Joachim Weiß was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haßbergen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Luneplate the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Haßbergen FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Luneplate:s goal. Dirk Schöndorf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luneplate's Danko Keil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Schöndorf in the 68th minute of play. Joachim Lendemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Lendemans in the 95th minute of play forced Haßbergen FSV's goalkeeper Rouven Jochum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haßbergen FSV's goalkeeper Rouven Jochum, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Joachim Lendemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 101 minutes, Heinz Kügler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luneplate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heinz Kügler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luneplate's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
