Andreas Dreschmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Körper in the 6th minute of play forced Brandewurth's goalkeeper Andreas Dreschmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Linus Mattern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Andreas Dreschmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Dreschmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hartmut Breyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The corner ended in Béla Deck almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Brandewurth's Andreas Dreschmann did a great save. 17 minutes into the match, Petrolul's Hartmut Breyer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andreas Dreschmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Petrolul's Béla Deck getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Béla Deck struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Andreas Dreschmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petrolul. In the 24th minute, Torben Thiessen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Linus Mattern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andreas Dreschmann came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Petrolul's Béla Deck. But to his dismay, Béla Deck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jo Körper might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andreas Dreschmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jo Körper ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Brandewurth defense, Béla Deck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andreas Dreschmann. The Brandewurth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andreas Dreschmann should have stopped the shot. Linus Mattern's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andreas Dreschmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Béla Deck in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andreas Dreschmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute Roland Wehn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Dreschmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andreas Dreschmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Béla Deck, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Jochen Leibrandt's late challenge caught a Petrolul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jochen Leibrandt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Brandewurth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jochen Leibrandt to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Lang was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Petrolul's Linus Mattern made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andreas Dreschmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 56th minute, Hartmut Breyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Béla Deck had several of the Brandewurth's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Andreas Dreschmann as he didn't even see the shot coming. Andreas Dreschmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Mattern in the 77th minute of the match. Petrolul's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
