Andreas Dreschmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmar Carstensen in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niko Peeters during the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmar Carstensen in the 7th minute of play forced Brandewurth's goalkeeper Andreas Dreschmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 played minutes Brandewurth got a freekick which was hit by Erik Paul. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Elmar Carstensen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Michelstadt FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmar Carstensen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Dreschmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Brandewurth's Jochen Leibrandt got a free kick in the 15th minute. Andreas Dreschmann made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Elmar Carstensen sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Lang in the 19th minute of play forced Michelstadt FC's goalkeeper Eike Adam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Brandewurth's Jan Lang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eike Adam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 25 played minutes Brandewurth got a freekick which was hit by Torben Thiessen. Elmar Carstensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jan Lang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Michelstadt FC's zone, Tobias Scharf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eike Adam came out of the goal and Tobias Scharf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Tibor Noack managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brandewurth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibor Noack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Dreschmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmar Carstensen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Brandewurth's Andreas Dreschmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elmar Carstensen in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Jan Lang made the kick off in the second half. Andreas Dreschmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elmar Carstensen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Lang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score was 0-5 after a penalty in the 67th minute, where Brandewurth:s Robin Dieler tricked Michelstadt FC:s Eike Adam with a difficult ball by the left post. Elmar Carstensen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andreas Dreschmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Erik Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eike Adam having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match Arjen Pell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andreas Dreschmann skillfully saved the ball. In the 83rd minute, Roland Ningel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Victor Wilhelm came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Michelstadt FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Wilhelm couldn't finish the play. If Victor Wilhelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Wilhelm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andreas Dreschmann having to make a save. Torben Thiessen hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
