RB Gladbach 93's Wolfram Ostendorff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Giurgin in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Mats Höhle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Wolfram Ostendorff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Kloster Arnsburg booed when RB Gladbach 93 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristian Gebhard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wolfram Ostendorff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Quacken in the 10th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Jan Reuß mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RB Gladbach 93 and the Kloster Arnsburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jan Reuß hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Jan-André Bentz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfram Ostendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zaman Schwarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Kloster Arnsburg's Daniel Breiter got control of the ball when Zaman Schwarz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Kloster Arnsburg's Heiko Giurgin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wolfram Ostendorff was left in no man's land by his defense there! Heiko Giurgin scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wolfram Ostendorff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the game, Zaman Schwarz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Breiter. Zaman Schwarz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. 35 minutes into the game, Walther Reckmaier lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Daniel Breiter. In the 37th minute, Gerrit Graf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Breiter didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walther Reckmaier went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Heiko Giurgin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wolfram Ostendorff having to make a save. Wolfram Ostendorff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Quacken in the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heiko Giurgin made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Giurgin in the 52nd minute of play forced RB Gladbach 93's goalkeeper Wolfram Ostendorff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Breiter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walther Reckmaier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, RB Gladbach 93's Robert Nierlein got a free kick in the 65th minute. RB Gladbach 93's Wolfram Ostendorff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Giurgin in the 70th minute of play. In the 76th minute Heiko Giurgin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolfram Ostendorff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RB Gladbach 93's Kristian Gebhard got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 4-3 became the score in the 83rd minute when Walther Reckmaier elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zaman Schwarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Breiter having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Walther Reckmaier managed to get in a good position for a shot. RB Gladbach 93's supporters rose to their feet, but Walther Reckmaier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Breiter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of RB Gladbach 93 booed when Kloster Arnsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Buss didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, RB Gladbach 93's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jan-André Bentz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Heiko Giurgin came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Kloster Arnsburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heiko Giurgin couldn't finish the play.
