Ronald Sieger kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes FC Hawaii got a freekick which was hit by Paulus Fechner. 9 minutes in the game, Marko Brillen dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Werner Korff in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steffen Koppers saved Neusöcking FC from getting behind. When Nikolaus Cayrol came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Hawaii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolaus Cayrol couldn't finish the play. Nikolaus Cayrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heiko Unger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th match minute, FC Hawaii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulus Fechner to maneuver through the defense. Marko Brillen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Horst Dürr made a huge save. If Heiko Unger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Werner Korff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hawaii fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Heiko Unger made the kick off in the second half. Ronald Sieger kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Werner Korff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Steffen Koppers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Werner Korff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hawaii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Werner Korff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Werner Korff came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the FC Hawaii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Korff couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Neusöcking FC's David Gerwen got a free kick in the 79th minute. FC Hawaii's Petrus Räder couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Neusöcking FC. Steffen Koppers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Korff in the 88th minute of the match. Nikolaus Cayrol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steffen Koppers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When Torsten Straub fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neusöcking FC's protests and gave Torsten Straub a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Werner Korff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steffen Koppers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Korff in the 93rd minute of play. Steffen Koppers made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Nikolaus Cayrol sent off a good shot on target.
