The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörg Wadehn got free with Ricky Lege in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Burkhard Schnitzler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricky Lege. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 42nd minute, Jörg Wadehn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ricky Lege took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burkhard Schnitzler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hemmo Ginsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Bortfeld's goalkeeper Golo Nikoleit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Weis. Bortfeld's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
