Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodor Prokop in the 4th minute of play forced Sondheim's goalkeeper Torsten Greve to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamil Imhof got free with Kajus Kuhnert in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute, Kurt Kugler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Günter Dienelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Kajus Kuhnert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Kamil Imhof made a precise shot to the right of Kajus Kuhnert. Wanne FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Josip Jarosch kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernst Kage stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Theodor Prokop left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wanne FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ernst Kage managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wanne FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernst Kage was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torsten Greve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Sondheim's Ali Thürmann got a free kick in the 61st minute. Ernst Kage received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Theodor Prokop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Greve having to interfere. In the 68th minute Ernst Kage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Greve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josua Canaris's late challenge caught a Sondheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josua Canaris helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute, Josua Canaris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sondheim's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
