In the 9thth minute of the game Stephane Lösekrug who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peterreuth FC's Gregor Dehnke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reiner Jaksch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mathias Schwabe went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Stephane Lösekrug sped through Peterreuth FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregor Dehnke. Peterreuth FC's Gregor Dehnke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephane Lösekrug in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Heiko Sill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Dehnke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Peterreuth FC booed when Jeerhof FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Hufenstuhl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeerhof FSV's Reiner Jaksch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Turk in the 37th minute of play. In the 37th minute, James Schmieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregor Dehnke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stephane Lösekrug in the 41st minute of play. If Heiko Sill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephane Lösekrug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heiko Sill to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Mathias Schwabe made a precise shot to the right of Reiner Jaksch. Jeerhof FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 56th match minute, Peterreuth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedikt Schmirgal to maneuver through the defense. When Stephane Lösekrug came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Jeerhof FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephane Lösekrug couldn't finish the play. 3-2 became the score in the 61st minute when Stephane Lösekrug elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, one of Peterreuth FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peterreuth FC. Nicolas Turk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregor Dehnke made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Stephane Lösekrug sent off a good shot on target. Stephane Lösekrug who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Gregor Dehnke when he managed to save the team from getting behind. James Schmieta's late challenge caught a Peterreuth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. James Schmieta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Jeerhof FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Schmieta to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Nicolas Turk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reiner Jaksch was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Raoul Erler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregor Dehnke having to interfere. Stephane Lösekrug received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gregor Dehnke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Guntram Herrenkind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Peterreuth FC's zone, Heiko Sill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregor Dehnke came out of the goal and Heiko Sill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
